Wood County Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in a case. When you call 903-763-CASH, your information to Crime Stoppers is confidential and you can remain anonymous.

When you give your information, you will be assigned a special reference number for your call. You can use this number at a later date to claim a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You do NOT need to give your name.

Crime Stoppers may pay a reward up to $1,000 for information on any warrant that leads to an arrest and indictment.

Oct. 6th: Deputy Chris Bettis met with a complainant in the lobby of the sheriff's office with regard to the theft of a Remington Model 700 semi-automatic .270 with a Bushnell scope. The case is under investigation.

Oct. 5th: Deputy Bettis was advised to contact a victim with regard to the theft of $200 cash from a suspect working in her home. The case is under investigation.

On the same date, Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to the 1000 block of CR 1700 in the Yantis area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had pried open the door to his residence. The stolen items include a 7.62 brown SKS gun, a 30.06 Remington rifle semi-automatic with a Leopold 3.5 x 10 scope, a 223 Colt AR 15, a 30.30 Winchester lever-action and a tan Blackhawk Pattern Horton Crossbow with a total value of over $4,500. The case is under investigation.

Oct. 3rd: Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to the 4700 block of Hwy 154 west with regard to the theft of a black 2008 homemade flatbed trailer valued at $1,500. The case is under investigation.

On the same date, Deputy Threadgill was dispatched to the 1000 block of CR 2950 in the Alba area with regard to the violation of a protective order. Osevio Reyes was placed under arrest for violating a protective order.

Oct. 2nd: Deputy Joshua O'Grady was dispatched to the 500 block of CR 1630 in the Alba area with regard to the theft of old truck parts, shafts, pulleys, grill, hood, and radiator off of an antique tractor and the hood off of a 1968 blue 1968 Chevy Torino vehicle, all with a total value of $8,400. The case is under investigation.

Oct. 1st: Deputy Samantha Sellers was dispatched to Hwy 37 in the Quitman area with regard to a subject advising that he had been robbed at gun point. The victim advised that two assailants were wearing masks so he could not identify them. The case is under investigation.

In the same date, Deputy Brad Armendariz was dispatched to the 2000 block of FM 182 in the Quitman area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that his yellow Cub Cadet zero-turn RZT lawn mower, valued at $3,104, had been stolen. The victim also advised that he had attached to the front of the mower a metal tube with a light, and a wire for the light ran to the battery. The case is under investigation.

Sept. 30th: Deputy O'Grady was dispatched to the 1000 block of CR 2950 with regard to an assault. The victim advised that she had been assaulted by her brother-in-law. On investigation, Osevio Reyes, Hispanic male age 46, was placed under arrest.

On the same date, Deputy Owens was advised to contact a victim by public service with regard to the theft of a black Nikon touch screen digital camera, valued at $250; a black and grey laptop computer, valued at $1,500 and an orange and white radio-controlled helicopter valued at $120. The victim advised that she had been moving and had left these items for pick up at a later date. The residence was unlocked. The case is under investigation.

Also on this date, Deputy Donovan South was dispatched to the 300 block of Hwy 154 in the Quitman area with regard to the burglary of a coin-operated machine. The victim advised that the lock on the machine had been drilled out. Unknown suspect(s) left the coins and currency in the machine. The case is under investigation.

During this period there were 85 males and 21 females at the Wood County Jail. There were 24 bookings and 29 releases.

Sept. 27th: Deputy O'Grady met with a victim in the lobby of the sheriff's department with regard to the theft of an oil field fitting valued at $500 and where the property could be located. On investigation, the victim's property was located and returned to him.

On the same date, Deputy J.W. Williams was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 4250 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a theft. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had gone onto his property and stolen a 325 T-post valued at $1,787, two 26-foot green steel gates valued at $300 and one PTO post hole digger valued at $600. The case is under investigation.

Sept. 26th: Deputy Armendariz was dispatched to PR 6145 in the Quitman area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that the lock on her storage building hand been cut off. She said the suspect(s) had stolen her walnut round bear claw folding leaf kitchen table valued at $400. The case is under investigation.

On the same date, Deputy O'Grady was dispatched to the 500 block of CR 2766 in the Mineola area with regard to the burglary of a black unlocked 2002 Cadillac SUV. The victim advised that his briefcase containing three Bibles plus three prescription medications had been stolen. The case is under investigation.

Also on this date, Deputy O'Grady was dispatched to the 3800 block of CR 2742 in the Mineola area with regard to the burglary of an unlocked 2006 Honda four-door vehicle. The victim advised that her Garmin GPS valued at $250 had been stolen. The case is under investigation.

Also on the date, Deputy O'Grady was dispatched to the 100 block of Grand Saline Street to meet a victim of an assault that had taken place in the 500 block of FM 1799 in the Alba area. The victim advised that her roommate had grabbed her by the throat and punched her in the face. On further investigation, Hal Holloway of Alba was arrested for assault causing bodily injury/family violence. Bond was set at $3,000.

Finally, on this date, Deputy Owens was dispatched to the 1300 block of CR 2377 in the Alba area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered a concession stand by prying the door open. Apparently, they had turned the griddle on, tried to cook something, and left.

Sept. 24th: Deputy Nathan Adams was dispatched to the lobby of the sheriff's department to speak with a victim in regard to the theft of her white 1990 Oldsmobile Cutlass car valued at $3,000. The case is under investigation.

On the same date, Deputy Threadgill was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 1681 in the Alba area with regard to the theft of a yellow Suzuki RM 80 dirt bike valued at $800. The case is under investigation.

Sept. 23rd: Deputy Threadgill was dispatched to the 700 block of CR 1522 in the Alba area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen a a blue, green and silver Rigid chop saw valued at $300 and a 30-gallon barrel full of scrap copper. The case is under investigation.

Sept. 22nd: Deputy Owens was dispatched to the 3800 block of Hwy 154 in the Quitman area with regard to a theft. The batteries were stolen from a 1990 Dodge pickup, a 1950 Plymouth automobile and a forklift. The batteries were taken from all three vehicles and the radiator was taken from the Plymouth. The items have a total value of $975. The case is under investigation.

During this period, there were 81 males and 15 females at the Wood County Jail. There were 24 bookings and 29 releases.
