Wood County Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in a case. When you call 903-763-CASH, your information to Crime Stoppers is confidential and you can remain anonymous.

When you give your information, you will be assigned a special reference number for your call. You can use this number at a later date to claim a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You do NOT need to give your name.

Crime Stoppers may pay a reward up to $1,000 for information on any warrant that leads to an arrest and indictment.

July 19th: Deputy Samantha Sellers was dispatched to the 1700 block of Hwy 154 in the Quitman area on a report of cows being out. On arrival and speaking with the complainant, the cattle owner approached and began using obscene and vulgar language. Terry Dwain Turner was issued a citation for disorderly conduct. On the same date, Deputy Jimmy White was dispatched to the 800 block of CR 4627 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a stabbing. On investigation, it was determined that the victim had been stabbed in her shoulder. She was taken by Careflight to a Tyler hospital. Jeremy Clinton Gilbreath, a white male, age 34, was placed under arrest for aggravated assault/family violence and also an outstanding Texarkana warrant for forgery. Gilbreath's bond has been set at $50,000.

July 18th, Deputy Josh O'Grady was dispatched to a burglary in the 600 block of CR 3540 in the Hawkins area. The victim advised that she was out of town when unknown suspect(s) entered her storage building. She advised that over $1,100 worth of wrenches, and logging chains were taken along with a battery charger, a meat saw, a hand saw, framing hammers plus a black game camera with it's sim card. The case is under investigation.

July 16th: Deputy Chris Turner was dispatched to CR 1429 in the Quitman area with regard to an assault. The victim advised that her boyfriend has assaulted her. On investigation, Fred Harvey Thrasher, a white male, age 46, of Frisco, was arrested for assault. On the same date, Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to the Lake Holbrook beach area in Mineola with regard to several male subjects using drugs in public. On investigation, Christopher Wayne Whitaker, a white male from Grand Saline was arrested for possession of marijuana and an outstanding Wood County warrant for possession of lead shot.

July 14th: Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to CR 4186 at the Forest Hill track well in the Winnsboro area with regard to a theft of 30 feet of copper wire. The case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy Owens was dispatched to the 1700 block of CR 4420 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had broken into her locked residence and stolen a six-drawer antique dresser valued at $300. The case is under investigation.

During this period there were 63 males and 10 females at the Wood County Jail. There were 17 releases and 15 bookings.

July 13th: Deputy J.W. Williams was dispatched to the Quitman water treatment plant in the 200 block of FM 288 with regard to a theft of copper. The plant manager advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen approximately 200 feet of #3 non-insulated copper wire. The case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy O'Grady was dispatched to the 4700 block of FM 1254 in the Mineola area with regard to another copper theft. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen the plug outlets, ceiling fans, silver sheet roofing metal and light switches and has also damaged the windows of his red 1975 Ford F-150 which was parked at the residence. The residence is unoccupied. The case is under investigation.

July 12th: Deputy Williams was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle in the 4300 block of CR 3250 in the Quitman area. On investigation, Shawn Anthony McSchooler was placed under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia.

July 11th: Deputy Nathan Adams was dispatched to the 200 block of CR 2167 was dispatched to the lobby of the sheriff's office with regard abuse of a debit card. The victim advised that she went to use her debit card and received an insufficient funds message. When she contacted her bank, she discovered several fraudulent charges on her account. This case is under investigation.

July 9th: Deputy Sellers was advised of an abandoned vehicle on CR 2260 in the Mineola area. On investigation and locating the driver, Justin Kyle Fitzgerald was placed under arrest for public intoxication and minor in consumption of alcohol. On the same date, Deputy Sellers was dispatched to the 100 block of PR 5656 in the Alba area with regard to an unwanted subject at a residence. On investigation, Joshua Dewayne Lum was placed under arrest for possession of dangerous drugs.

July 7th: Deputy Bradley Armendariz was dispatched to FM 49 and FM 2869 in the Hawkins area with regard to the theft of a game camera, binoculars and a memory card for the camera, all valued at $255. The case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy Adams was dispatched to the 200 block of CR 2167 with regard to graffiti having been sprayed on the complainant's husband's truck by an unknown suspect(s). The mirror on the truck was damaged to the tune of $60. The case is under investigation.

During this period there were 65 males and 13 females at the Wood County Jail for a total of 78. There were 27 bookings and 26 releases.
