Bill Murchison to speak to RWWC July 18

William (Bill) Murchison will be the featured speaker at the July 18th meeting of the Republican Women of Wood County (RWWC). He is a nationally-syndicated columnist and has been a professional journalist since 1964. His career began with two years at the Corsicana Daily Sun followed by seven years at the Dallas Times Herald.

Murchison has been with The Dallas Morning News since 1973 where he now serves as senior columnist. His column has been nationally syndicated since 1981.

He has written three books, serves as a contributing editor to The Lone Star Report and is also a regular contributor to National Review, The Wall Street Journal, Policy Review, First Things and The American Spectator.

On June 14th this year, Murchison published an article titled "It's Debate Time in America." He will speak to the RWWC members about the national political scene and what may be expected during the months leading up to the 2012 election. The RWWC holds it's meetings on the third Monday of each month at the Texas Tea Room in Quitman.
