Wood County Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in a case. When you call 903-763-CASH, your information to Crime Stoppers is confidential and you can remain anonymous.

When you give your information, you will be assigned a special reference number for your call. You can use this number at a later date to claim a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You do NOT need to give your name.

Crime Stoppers may pay a reward up to $1,000 for information on any warrant that leads to an arrest and indictment.

June 9th: Deputy Jayson Farmer was dispatched to the 900 block of FM 515 with regard to a theft of livestock. The victim advised that she has seven goats that are missing valued at $700. The case is under investigation.

On the same date, Deputy Chris Turner was dispatched to the 3400 block of FM 14 with regard to a domestic disturbance. The victim advised that his wife became irate and had assaulted him. Sharon Young was arrested for assault causing bodily injury/family violence.

Also on this date, Deputy Robert Ballard observed Johnny Earl Jones driving a white Chevrolet pickup pulling a trailer. On investigation Jones was placed under arrest for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.

June 7th: Deputy Zachary Soto was dispatched to the 200 block of CR 2922 with regard to a disturbance. On further investigation, Anthony Humphries was arrested for disorderly conduct.

June 6th: Deputy Soto spoke with a victim with regard to a theft on FM 779. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered his property and stolen a Patriot dog kennel valued at $700. The case is under investigation.     

June 4th: Deputy Samuel Threadgill was dispatched to the 2300 block of FM 17 with regard to a theft. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen copper wire from an A/C unit. It was valued at $2,300. The case is under investigation. During this period there were 70 males and 11 females at the Wood County Jail for an overall total to 81. There were 36 bookings and 34 releases.

June 2nd: Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to FM 778 on a report of a theft. The reporting party said someone had stolen approximately 80 feet of copper wire valued at $800. The case is under investigation.                                     

June 1st: Deputy Josh O'Grady was dispatched to the 3400 block of CR 3400 on the theft of service report. The reporting party said some customers had tampered with a water meter after a lock was put on. The case is under investigation.

May 31st: Deputy David Hitt to the 100 block of CR 2210 on a burglary report. A man said someone had stolen several items from his residence with a value of $2,000. The case is under investigation.

May 29th: Deputy J.W. Williams was on patrol in the Lake Holbrook area when he saw a man standing in the road. On further investigation, the deputy arrested Louis Droz III for public intoxication.

May 28th: A deputy was dispatched to the 800 block of CR 2700 on a report of a burglary. The victim advised that someone cut the welding leads (75 feet) off his electric welder which is valued at $200. The case is under investigation.

On the same date, Deputy Owens met with a man in lobby of the sheriff's department on a theft report. The man said someone had stolen a four-foot box blade valued at $500. The case is under investigation.

Also on this date, a deputy was dispatched to Hwy 154 on a theft report. The victim reported someone had stolen 14 trees that were approximately 4 feet tall. The trees are valued at $1,050. The case is under investigation.

Finally, on this date, Deputy Joel Moore was dispatched to CR 3420 and CR 3496 on a report of a disturbance. On investigation, Nicholas Shane Dubberly, 18, was arrested for public intoxication of a minor.

May 27th: A deputy was on patrol on FM 2966 when he saw a pickup truck driving with an expired registration sticker. On further investigation, Corey Glenn Hass was arrested for driving while license expired.

May 26th: Deputy Nathan Adams was dispatched to the 130 block of CR 2149 on a theft report. A woman reported her French bulldog was missing. The dog is valued at $2,500. The case is under investigation. The sheriff's department responded to 685 calls in the month of May. These included 38 thefts and seven thefts of copper.
