Wood County Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in a case. When you call 903-763-CASH, your information to Crime Stoppers is confidential and you can remain anonymous.

When you give your information, you will be assigned a special reference number for your call. You can use this number at a later date to claim a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You do NOT need to give your name.

Crime Stoppers may pay a reward up to $1,000 for information on any warrant that leads to an arrest and indictment.

th: Deputy Soto was dispatched to the 200 block of CR 2174 in the Quitman area with regard to a report of disorderly conduct. On investigation, Kimberly Hass Sebring was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct (language). Michael Wayne Sebring was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct (fighting). Both were taken to the Wood County Jail. On the same date, Deputy Adams was dispatched to the 400 block and the 900 block of CR 2465 with regard to a theft of copper. The victim advised that over $4,000 worth of copper was taken. These cases are under investigation.

April 26

th: Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to CR 2110 in the Quitman area with regard to an assault. The victim advised that his girlfriend's mother had grabbed him and pulled his hair. On investigation, Veronica Ledbetter of Winnsboro was issued a citation for assault by contact. On the same date, Deputy Hitt was dispatched to the 4600 block of FM 2869 in the Hawkins area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that the window of her front door had been broken. She advised that several pieces of jewelry and a coin collection were missing. The case is under investigation.

April 25

th: Deputy Hitt was dispatched to the 1500 block of CR 2320 in the Mineola area with regard to a theft. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen copper wiring out of the building. The case is under investigation. April 23

rd: Deputy Adams was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 2941 in the Mineola area with regard to a report of criminal mischief. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had thrown toilet paper into his trees. April 22

nd: Deputy Chris Turner was dispatched to the 600 block of FM 778 in the Quitman area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that the lock of her storage building was missing. Items stolen included a Toshiba laptop computer, a Wii game system and games, a Sony 52-inch plasma television, a Denon 210 watt 7.1 surround and a Kenwood 5.1 surround. These items are valued at $3,650. The case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy J.W. Williamson was dispatched to CR 2980 in the Mineola area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that his cabin at his deer lease had been broken into. He advised that the only thing missing was the food in the pantry.

During this period, there were 67 males and 4 females at the Wood County Jail. There were 25 bookings and 27 releases.

April 18

th: Deputy Nathan Adams was dispatched to the 3100 block of FM 2869 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a theft. A black 20-foot tandem axle trailer valued at $2,500 was stolen. The case is under investigation. April 17

th: Deputy Zachary Soto was on routine patrol and noticed a vehicle parked at the point at Lake Holbrook. When he made contact with the driver, the deputy noticed the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. On investigation, Cristina Evon Padgett, Haylee Shay Weisse and Noe Jose Candelario, all of Mineola, and Bryan Lee Risinger of Longview were placed under arrest for possession of marijuana. On the same date, Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to the 4600 block of FM 2869 in the Hawkins area with regard to the burglary of a motor vehicle. The victim advised that his All Star Alpine stereo with GOS and back up camera, four American racing black inserts, a black snug-fit bed cover, a snap-on socket wrench set and a Motorola fire department radio were all taken. The valued of these items is $6,900. The case is under investigation.

Also on this date, Deputy Josh O'Grady was dispatched to the 500 block of CR 2934 in the Mineola area with regard a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen two chainsaws and a Schumaker black and silver battery charger, all valued at $460. The case is under investigation.

April 16

th: Deputy David Hitt was dispatched to the 1800 block of CR 1410 with regard to a theft. A PTO hole digger for a tractor and a utility with sub soiler, also for a tractor, were taken. They have a total value of $1,000. The case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy Hitt was dispatched to CR 1483 in the Quitman area with regard to a theft of livestock. The victim advised that his black bull, four cows and three calves, all with ear tags, had been stolen from her property. The animals are valued at $15,000. The case has been forwarded to the Cattleman's Association for investigation.

April 15

th: Deputy Chris Turner was dispatched to the 100 block of Willow Branch in the Hawkins area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered her residence through a back window. Several breakers, a television, Bibles and several tools valued at $700. The case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy Robbie Ballard was dispatched to the 400 block of CR 4545 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a suspicious person. The deputy arrived and made contact with a person sitting in a passenger car. On further investigation, Brian Ray Sherwood of Gilmer was placed under arrest for public intoxication.

April 14

th: Deputy Samuel Threadgill was dispatched to the 200 block of PR 8574 with regard to a theft. The victim advised that his yellow Road Master skid spreader valued at $1,575 had been stolen from his storage building in the 7900 block of FM 852. This case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy Threadgill was dispatched to the 3200 block of CR 1970 in the Yantis area with regard to the theft of a back flow valve valued at $550. The case is under investigation.

During this period, there were 69 males and 3 females at the Wood County Jail for a total of 72. There were 33 bookings and 28 releases.
