Wood County Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in a case. When you call 903-763-CASH, your information to Crime Stoppers is confidential and you can remain anonymous.
When you give your information, you will be assigned a special reference number for your call. You can use this number at a later date to claim a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You do NOT need to give your name.
Crime Stoppers may pay a reward up to $1,000 for information on any warrant that leads to an arrest and indictment.

March 3rd: Deputy Robbie Ballard was dispatched to Hwy 69 and CR 2260 in the Mineola area with regard to a person possibly being intoxicated. On arrival, contact was made with the subject. Steve Ramone Pruitt of Mineola was placed under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia.
March 2nd: Deputy Nathan Adams spoke with the victim of a copper theft. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen$12,000 worth of copper wire from the 1100 block of CR 2769, the 200 block of CR 2358 and the 300 block of CR 2358 in the Mineola area. These cases are under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Ballard was dispatched to CR 3486 to a noise disturbance in the Hawkins area. On arrival and investigation, Korey Bernard Willis Jr. of Dallas was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana. Bond was set at $1,000.
February 28th: Deputy Ballard was dispatched to the boat ramp on CR 2298 at Lake Holbrook with regard to a parked vehicle. On investigation, Stacy Lee Sasser and Jimmy Ray Melton Jr. were both placed under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia.
February 27th: Deputy Chris Turner was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 3145 in the Quitman area with regard to a reported theft. The victim advised that over $14,000 in chains, chain hooks, straps and rachet chains were stolen from his locked restocking trailer. The victim advised that the suspect(s) had cut the pad lock off the trailer door.
February 26th: Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to the 400 block of CR 4626 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a disturbance. On investigation, it was found that Cody Lee Barnhard, white male, age 30, had assaulted his stepfather with a chair. On arrival, Barnhard had fled into the woods. A warrant for Barnhart's arrested was issued for assault with bodily injury/family violence. He is also wanted on warrants out of Camp and Franklin counties for DWI and assault.
On the same date, Deputy Threadgill was dispatched to CR 3840 in the Hawkins area with regard to a copper theft. The suspect(s) had stolen 1,200 feet of #6 copper wire valued at $6,000. The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy Nathan Adams was dispatched to the 300 block of CR 2150 in the Quitman area with regard to the theft of a Char Griller-duo Model 5050 gas and charcoal grill valued at $300. The case is under investigation.
February 24th: Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to CR 4798 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a copper theft. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Josh O'Grady was dispatched to the 1200 of Hwy 60 north in the Mineola area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had pulled the copper wire out of two breaker boxes. It is valued at $100. The case is under investigation.
February 23rd: Deputy O'Grady was dispatched to the 1500 block of CR 2270 in the Mineola area with regard to the violation of a protective order. On arrival and after investigation, Benjamin George was placed under arrest for violation of a protective order.

During the period there were 63 males and 9 females at the Wood County Jail for an overall total of 72. There were 32 bookings and 32 releases.
February 22nd: Deputy J.W. Williams was dispatched to the 1500 block of Loop 564 in the Mineola area with regard to yet another copper theft. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen approximately 250 feet of copper wire leads and a Victor brass torch head, all valued at $850. The case is under investigation.
February 21st: Sgt. Jayson Farmer was dispatched to the 600 block of PR 7402 in the Hawkins area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered his locked residence and removed a 9mm Smith and Wesson blue semi-automatic firearm. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Williams was dispatched to the 1000 block of CR 3440 (Little Oasis RV Park) in the Hawkins area on a report of several vehicles being burglarized. The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy Ballard was dispatched to the 2900 block of FM of FM 1799 in the Mineola area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that he had returned home and saw a green four-door passenger car and an unknown black male on the property. On investigation, it was determined that a screen on the home had been entered. The case is under investigation.
February 20th: Deputy Zachary Soto was dispatched to the 500 block of CR 2150 in the Quitman area with regard to a disturbance in progress. On arrival, the suspect advised that he and his girlfriend were in a verbal argument. The victim advised that she had been pushed by the suspect. After further investigation, Scott Price Dillard was placed under arrest for assault by contact/family violence.
Also on this date, Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to the 3900 block of FM 2225 in the Quitman area with regard to the theft of a small live trap valued at $30. The case is under investigation.
February 19th: Deputy David Hill was dispatched to the 2200 block of FM 17 north at Bass Capital Storage in the Alba area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that the unknown suspect(s) had stolen over $2,300 worth of stereo and fishing equipment. The case is under investigation.
