I have lived in Wood County approximately 38 years. My wife, Shirley, and I reside in Hawkins. I currently serve as a reserve Smith County Deputy Constable. My qualifications are as follow:
· Former Wood County Sheriff
· Former Wood County Constable of Pct. 1 and Pct. 3
· Former Special Deputy U.S. Marshall
· Currently reserve as a Smith County Deputy Constable
· Twenty-six plus years certified peace officer
· Master peace officer certification (the highest certification given by TCLEOSE, the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officers Standards and Education)
· 2600 plus TCLEOSE training hours
· Board member of Wood County Crime Stoppers
· U.S. Army Veteran
