Meeting in regular session Friday, January 22, 2010 Wood County Commissioners approved payments for payroll of $ 286,347.34, accounts payable claims totaling
$ 429,885.80 including health care costs of $ 76,860.83 .
They then approved 2 personel actions from Clancy Holmes, JP3, Wood County.
Pay raise for Glenda Sissel effective on 7-24-09 from $7.00 to $7.25, and a further increase effective 1-2-10, from $7.25 to $8.00; 1 from Commissioner Galloway, Grade raise for Jerry Gaskill Jr. to Laborer II @ rate of $14.34/ hr. effective January 19, 2010; 1 from Commissioner Gilbreath, Thomas Holland, Grade Raise to Laborer II @ rate of $14.82 /hr; from Dawn Criddle, Election Admin., Karen Metzel, hired as Temp. Election Worker, @ rate of $9.00 per hr., effective 1-11-10; from Wood County Sheriff, Kilan Polk, raised to Patrol Sgt. @ rate of $17.89 effective 1-2-10.
No action taken on Agenda item #4, Line Item Transfers and Budget Admendments.
They then approved an amount of $14,100 for the 2010 allocation to the Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center as submitted by Jerry Edwards.
They then approved a request by the Pct. 4 Commissioner to approve a trade in on a vehicle for like kind purchases:

They then approved a Pledge of Secutities to Bank Texas of five different securities per the Wood County repurchase agreement with the Bank, dated on 1-6-10 and signed by Lori Kindle, VP Controller.
The Wood County Treasurer, Becky Cannon, filed reports covering the ten months through October 2009, leaving only the months of November and December of 2009 and January of 2010 in arears. She had filed reports for the whole year of 2008 with the Court at their last meeting and is now virtually caught up with her required reports.
They then approved a resolution for the Wood County Criminal District Attorney Victim Services project FY 2010-2011 VOCA Grant application totaling $77,676.(a 20% match with a specified formula)
No action was taken on Agenda Item # 11 - Approval of Annual Technology Report.
The next regular meeting of the Wood County Commissioners Court will be Friday, February 5, 2010 at 10 a.m. A special meeting of the court can be called with 72-hour public notice.
