The story goes that one Sunday morning, a woman met her friend out near the entrance of their church. "How are you doing?" she asked.
"Oh," she said, "not bad under the circumstances." And her friend replied, "What are you doing under there?"Someone else has correctly stated, "As humans, we know that it's necessary for us to live in our circumstances. As Christians, however, we believe it's unnecessary for us to live under them!"
The Apostle Paul said, "I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him (Christ) who strengthens me." (Philippians 4: 11-13)
The good news is that God moves within our circumstances, providing promise, power, and purpose to transcend them.
