Wood County Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in a case. When you call 903-763-CASH, your information to Crime Stoppers is confidential and you can remain anonymous.
When you give your information, you will be assigned a special reference number for your call. You can use this number at a later date to claim a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You do NOT need to give your name.
Crime Stoppers may pay a reward up to $1,000 for information on any warrant that leads to an arrest and indictment.

September 1st: Deputy David Hill was dispatched to the 1000 block of CR 3810 in the Hawkins area with regard to a copper theft. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen the copper from an A/C unit(s) from a resident that she manages. This case is under investigation.
August 31st: Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to CR 2330 in the Mineola area also with regard to a copper theft. The victim advised that several feet of copper had been stolen from an electrical pole as well as the breaker boxes. The case is under investigation.
August 29th: Deputy Samantha Sellers was dispatched to the 7200 block ofFM 515 in the Yantis area with regard to a theft. The victim advised that her Dell laptop computer, a Vivitar 6150 camera, a Shark Roadstar vacuum, a Poulan chainsaw, two DirectTV boxes, a Ryobe cordless drill and a Coleman wide beam flashlight had been stolen from her residence. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Sgt. Jayson Farmer was dispatched to CR 3250 in the Quitman area with regard to a reckless driver. Game Warden Kurt Kelly informed officers that he had the suspect vehicle stopped on FM 778. The driver was unable to display a driver's license. After checking, it was found that no driver's license could be found for the suspect. Marcial Santos Vazquez was placed under arrest for operating a vehicle without a driver's license.
Also on this date, Deputy Nathan Adams was dispatched to the 6300 block of FM 2966 in the Yantis area on a report of a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had kicked a door in to gain entry. The suspect(s) had stolen five one gallon tubs of fish, ten pounds of hamburger, briskets, a small cooler and a Black & Decker hedge trimmer. The case is under investigation.
August 28th: Sgt. Farmer was dispatched to the 100 block of PR 7402 in the Hawkins area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had kicked in the backdoor of his residence. The victim advised that his Xbox 360, a Play Station 3, a 42-inch Sanyo flat screen television, a 12-gauge Winchester shotgun and 100 DVD movies had been stolen. The case is under investigation.
August 27th: Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to the 1400 block of FM 14 south in the Quitman area with regard to a report of criminal mischief. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had broken out the front glass of the door. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Threadgill was dispatched to the 1300 block of FM 2225 in the Quitman area with regard to a structure fire. The victim had been burning grass around the house. The fire got out of control and set the garage on fire. The fire was ruled accidental by Wood County Fire Marshall Randy Selman.
Also, on this date, Deputy Hill was dispatched to the 1800 block of CR 1912 in the Yantis area with regard to an assault that involved weapons. The victim advised that he was punched in the face by a subject. On investigation, John Lynn Smith was placed under arrest for assault causing bodily injury/family violence.
August 26th: Deputy Threadgill was dispatched to the 500 block of CR 2774 in the Mineola area with regard to another theft of copper. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen approximately $3,000 worth of copper wire. The suspect(s) took two three hundred-foot spans of copper. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Aaron Warren was dispatched to the 1500 block of Hwt 69 south in the Mineola area with regard to the burglary of a motor vehicle. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had broken out the back window of her 2005 Saturn and had stolen her purse. The case is under investigation.

August 25th: Deputy Threadgill was dispatched to FM 564 at Hwy 69 in the Mineola area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had removed a piece of metal and entered the building. In yet another copper theft, suspect(s) had taken copper wire/tubing from a breaker box, a water heater, a furnace and an outside air conditioning compressor. The case is under investigation.
August 24th: Deputy Threadgill was dispatched to the 100 block of PR 7869 in the Hawkins area with regard to a disturbance. On arrival, the suspect was found walking along the roadway with an unlawful weapon. The suspect advised that the fight had begun in another county and he had come to Wood County to finish the fight. Jasper Lee Combs was placed under arrest for unlawfully carrying a weapon - a wooden club.
On the same date, Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to the 200 block of CR 3476 in the Hawkins area with regard to a report of criminal mischief. The victim advised that three of his four tires on his 2005 Chevrolet pickup were slashed by unknown suspect(s). The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy Chris Turner was dispatched to the Upper Sabine Waste with regard to a criminal trespass report. Mary Dianne Hickman was issued a criminal trespass warning.
August 23rd: Deputy Turner met with a complainant in the lobby of the sheriff's office with regard to a theft. Items stolen included a red Honda 3500 grey generator, a blue NHRA heavy duty Nascar floor jack, a circular saw, a 10-foot extension cord and a 10-foot ladder. The theft took place in the 1900 block of FM 17 north in the Alba area. The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy Robbie Ballard was dispatched to the 400 block of CR 3990 in the Hawkins area with regard the burglary of a motor vehicle. There was no forced entry into the 1997 Chevrolet extended cab truck. The victim advised that his Dell computer had been stolen from the back of his truck. The computer is valued at $900. The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Sgt. Farmer was dispatched to the 1300 block of CR 4778 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that the suspect(s) had broken the lock to his storage building. Several items were stolen, including tools, a torch, two bottles of acetylene, and two Stihl chain saws, all valued at over $2,700. The case is under investigation.
August 20th: Deputy Turner was dispatched to the 200 block of CR 3441 in the Hawkins area with regard to a report of criminal mischief. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had shot her back window out with a pellet or BB gun. The window was shattered and she could see a small hole in the glass. The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy Turner was dispatched to the 400 block of FM 1804 in the Mineola area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had kicked in her back door and entered the residence. The victim advised that the suspect(s) had stolen several pieces of jewelry from a jewelry box. The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy Hill was dispatched to the 1100 block of CR 3160 in the Quitman area with regard to a burglary report. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had broken into his storage building and stolen his red 1979 CJ7 Jeep. The case is under investigation.
August 19th: Deputy Ballard was dispatched to the 500 block of PR 6570 in the Mineola area with regard to a theft. The victim advised that his red and black MTG gas powered log splitter with a Tecumseh engine was stolen from his barn. The suspect(s) made entry into the barn by cutting the chain that secured the door. The case is under investigation.
