"Tolerance becomes a crime when applied to evil."-Thomas Mann
Thomas Mann (6 June 1875 - 12 August 1955) was a German novelist, short story writer, social critic, philanthropist, essayist, and 1929 Nobel Prize laureate. When Hitler came to power in 1933, the anti-fascist Mann fled to Switzerland. When World War II broke out in 1939, he emigrated to the United States, from where he returned to Switzerland in 1952.

Cordoba, Spain (Moorish name of the Mosque comes from there)
Córdoba (Spanish pronunciation: [Èkorðo²a]; also Cordova; Qurmuba is a city in Andalusia, southern Spain, and the capital of the province of Córdoba. An Iberian and Roman city in ancient times, in the Middle Ages it was capital of an Islamic caliphate.
Today a moderately-sized modern city, the old town contains many impressive architectural reminders of when Qurmuba , the thriving capital of the Caliphate of Córdoba, governed almost all of the Iberian peninsula (Spain). Like the NY site is a scene of a major Muslim victory in the present day, Cordoba, Spain was the same for the Moorish armies in the past. W.C.
