Wood County Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in a case. When you call 903-763-CASH, your information to Crime Stoppers is confidential and you can remain anonymous.
When you give your information, you will be assigned a special reference number for your call. You can use this number at a later date to claim a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You do NOT need to give your name.
Crime Stoppers may pay a reward up to $1,000 for information on any warrant that leads to an arrest and indictment.

August 4th: Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to the 7600 block of Hwy 80 in the Hawkins area with regard to a theft. The victim advised that an unknown white female in a red GMC 80s model pickup truck had stolen three fig trees from his property.
On the same date, Deputy Aaron Warren was dispatched to the 100 block of South Main Street in the Yantis area on a report of criminal mischief. Amelia Diane Brown, Matt David Bruhn, and Aaron Michael Mann were issued a criminal trespass warning.
Also on this date, Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to the 1400 block of FM 2225 in the Quitman area with regard to a theft. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen the license plate and the trailer lights from his flatbed trailer. The case is under investigation.
August 1st: Deputy Samantha Sellers spoke to a victim on Public Service about a subject that keeps calling his residence and keeps trespassing on his property. Melissa Bennett was issued a criminal trespass warning for the 100 block of CR 1900 in the Yantis area.
On the same date, Deputy Robbie Ballard was dispatched to the 200 block of CR 1900 in the Yantis area with regard to a theft of fishing equipment valued at over $12,000. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen 30 fishing rods and reels, a Jumpstart box and a Hummingbird 997SI GPS from his boat. This case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy J.W. Williams was dispatched to the7500 block of Highway 69 north in the Alba area with regard to a burglary of a vehicle and a burglary of a building. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered her unlocked 2000 Honda SUV and stolen a Polaroid digital camera, and had also stolen a silver Kodak digital camera from an unlocked Chevy Monte Carlo. The victim also advised that the suspect(s) had entered her unlocked storage shed and stolen six fishing rods and reel combos valued at $270 and a tackle box with various tackle valued at $200. The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy Ballard was dispatched to the 1900 block of CR 1807 in the Yantis area with regard to a criminal mischief report. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered his unlocked 2007 Dodge pickup and had broken the ignition switch. The case is under investigation.
July 31st: Deputy Ballard was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 3953 in the Hawkins area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered his locked residence and stolen a Play Station Three console, DVD movies, an internet router, and several Play Station Three games. The suspect(s) entered the residence through an open window. The case is under investigation.
July 30th: Deputy Aaron Warren was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 2153 in the Quitman area with regard to an assault. The victim advised that her husband assaulted her and left the residence after she called 911. On investigation, Ricky Allen Nutt was arrested for assault/family violence with bodily injury.
On the same date, Deputy Warren was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 1246 in the Quitman area with regard to a subject driving his vehicle into the side of his mother's home. The subject left the location and evaded arrest. On searching for the subject, his son located him and Arlen Lee Harrison was placed under arrest for evading arrest.

During the period, there were 79 males and 13 females at the Wood County Jail for a total of 92. There were 19 bookings and 20 releases.
July 28th: Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to the 100 block of Tullis Lane in the Yantis area with regard to the unauthorized use of a vehicle. The victim advised that her white 1995 four-door Nissan Pathfinder was taken without her permission. The case is under investigation.
July 27th: Deputy Williams, Sgt. Lee Wilkins, and Deputy David Hill were dispatched to the 2900 block of FM 2659 in the Hawkins area with regard to a disturbance in progress. While they were enroute, dispatch advised that the subject had left the scene. The subject was located at FM 1795 and FM 2659. On speaking with him, the officers noted a strong odor of alcohol on his person. Danny Wayne Gregory Jr. was placed under arrest for public intoxication.
On the same date, Deputy Hill was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 2171 in the Quitman area with regard to a burglary of a vehicle. The victim advised that an unknown suspect had entered her unlocked vehicle and stolen a pink billfold with hearts on it. The billfold contained a Social Security card and four Six Flags season passes. The case is under investigation.
July 26th: Deputy Nathan Adams spoke to a victim by Public Service with regard to credit card abuse. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had made several transactions using her debit card, purchasing $270 worth of merchandise. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Adams was dispatched to the 2000 block of CR 2270 with regard to a criminal mischief report. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) broke two side windows and the rear window of his 1993 Ford pickup. The cost to replace the windows is $450. The case is under investigation.
July 25th: Deputy Zachary Soto made a traffic stop on FM 515 and FM 17 in the Yantis area on a white 2008 Ford car traveling at 80 mph in a 55 mph zone. When contact with the driver was made, the odor of alcohol was noticed. After field sobriety testing, Brittan Michelle Benners was place under arrest for driving while intoxicated and her passenger Chauncey Laurel Marcellos was placed under arrest for public intoxication.
On the same date, Deputy Adams spoke by Public Service to a victim that advised that his daughter's vehicle was burglarized at Lake Holbrook in the Mineola area. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) stole his daughter's backpack from the vehicle. The backpack contained a camera, a cell phone, glasses, clothing and toiletries. The case is under investigation.
July 24th: Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to the 300 block of CR 3289 in the Quitman area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen his eight by five black utility trailer with a fold-up ramp and two classic rod and reels valued at over $800. The case is under investigation.
July 23rd: Deputy Aaron Warren was dispatched to the 600 block of FM 2869 north in the Winnsboro area with regard to a criminal mischief report. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had damaged a tire on his 2001 Chevy Blazer. The tire value is $120. The case is under investigation.
July 22nd: Deputy Threadgill was dispatched to the 1000 block of Hwy 37 south in the Quitman area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had cut the locks off of several storage buildings. The buildings were checked by the renters and there was nothing taken.
On the same date, Sgt Wilkins was dispatched to the corner of CR 4854 and CR 4860 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had broken a window, then entered his residence and stolen a 49-inch Sony flat screen TV valued at $2,250. The case is under investigation.
July 21st: Deputy Owens was dispatched to the Hawkins Police department with regard to a theft that took place at Holly Lake Ranch. The victim advised that several check were taken and written, out of her mother-in-law's check book. The case is under investigation.
