Sept. 1st: Sgt. Arthur Judge took a report from the Wood County Electric Coop with regard to the theft of some wire. The complainant advised that two 300-foot stretches of copper transmission wire had been cut and taken from County Roads 1847 and 1843 in Yantis. The case is under investigation.
Aug. 31st: Deputy Jayson Farmer was dispatched to FM 514 in Yantis. The complainant advised that unknown suspect(s) removed a black tool box from the bed of his truck. The case is under investigation.
Aug. 30th: Deputy Samantha Sellers was dispatched to the Lake Hawkins boat ramp on a report of a submerged unoccupied truck. On arrival, the deputy met with Justin Miller, the owner of the vehicle. Miller advised that his wife was backing his boat into the water and she went too far and was unable to get the truck out. Emily Miller advised that she was backing the truck up and the next thing she knew water was coming into the truck. Miller advised that the truck was insured.
Aug. 29th: Deputy Mark Miller was dispatched to CR 456 in Winnsboro with regard to a theft of a weed eater. The complainant advised that unknown suspect(s) stole his weed eater which was left outside his rental property. The case is under investigation.
Aug. 28th: Deputy Miller was dispatched to CR 4165 in Winnsboro with regard to the theft of a propane tank and an oil burner. The complainant advised that the propane tank had the oil burner attached to it. The case is under investigation.
Aug. 27th: Deputy Miller met with an employee of the Upper Sabine Valley Authority in the lobby of the sheriff's office with regard to the theft of a mounted security camera. The camera is valued at over $1,300. The case is under investigation.

The complainant advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered his home and removed a safe that he had bolted to a wall in his closet. The complainant advised that the safe contained his prescription pain medicine and several pieces of jewelry. There was no sign of forced entry into the home. The case is under investigation.
Aug. 25th: Deputies were dispatched to CR 3490 in Hawkins with regard to stolen livestock. The complainant advised that she noticed that her horses were not in her pasture. The complainant advised that unknown person(s) removed her horses during the night. The case is under investigation.
Aug. 24th: Deputies were dispatched to CR 2220 in Mineola with regard to the burglary of a vehicle. The complainant advised that his son's unlocked vehicle was broken into and the stereo equipment was stolen. The case is under investigation.
Aug. 23rd: Deputies were dispatched to CR 4490 in Winnsboro with regard to a burglary. The complainant advised that unknown person(s) had entered his unlocked residence and removed several items. The case is under investigation.
Aug. 22nd: Deputies were dispatched to CR 2796 in Mineola with regard to the burglary of a building. The complainant advised that this property is his weekend place where he keeps his horses. He advised that he allowed a couple from the Dallas area to stay in the house rent-free for six months to help the couple out. He had advised the couple that they needed to start looking for a place to stay. He said the couple moved out of the residence on August 21sr and the complainant then noticed that several items were missing. The case is under investigation.
