 December 21st: Deputy Aaron Warren was dispatched to 7658 east Hwy 80 with regard to an attempted burglary. The complainant, Liza Fletcher, advised that an unknown suspect attempted to enter her residence. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Chris Bettis was dispatched to Fisherman¢s Cove with regard to a burglary of a motor vehicle. The complainant, Sigifredo Salinas III, advised that suspect(s) had broken out the window of the driver¢s door of his vehicle and left the vehicle door open. Several items were stolen from the vehicle. This case is also under investigation.
Also on this date, Sgt. Jimmy Coleman was dispatched to 344 CR 4798 with regard to shot having been fired. Linda Swann was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm.
On this same date, Deputy Bettis was dispatched to the Winnsboro Police department with regard to an assault that occurred at 316 CR 4252 where the complainant, Brittany George, advised that she was assaulted by Ashley Blocker and Kayla Storey. The case is under investigation.
Finally, on this date, Deputy Aaron Warrant was dispatched to 383 CR 3811 on a report of a structure fire. The home was not occupied at the time of the fire. This is under investigation.
December 20th: Sgt. Jimmy Coleman was contacted by Kristie Patrick with regard to harassment. Patrick advised that Jason France was harassing her by telephone. The case is under investigation.
Also, on this date, Cpl. Jason Farmer and Deputy Sam Threadgill were dispatched to 3612 FM 2225 with regard to a disturbance in progress. On arrival, the victim Mary Mann advised that she was assaulted by her grandson Whitney Mann after an argument had escalated. Mann was arrested for assault/family violence and taken to the Wood County Jail.
December 19th: Cpl. Jason Farmer was dispatched to 252 PR 5937 on a report of a theft. The complainant advised that someone had stolen his 16-foot trailer. It had been parked by the equipment shed of the Lake Fork Golf Course. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Sgt. Jimmy Coleman was dispatched to 101 E. Oak Street with regard to a terroristic threat. Weldon brown was issued a criminal trespass warning not to come to that address by the property owner Robert Bailey. The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy Bettis was dispatched to 1427 FM 2966 where Patrick Stanley advised that his home had been burglarized. On arrival inside his home, Stanley saw a male subject come out of a closet. Billy Chad Nolan was arrested on site for burglary.

December 16th: Sgt. Jimmy Coleman took a burglary reported at 1913 CR 4510. Some unknown person(s) had entered a building and stolen several items including a tile cutter and an electric drill. There are possible suspect(s) and the investigation is continuing.
December 15th: Deputy Paul Carter was dispatched to CR 4805 with regard to a report of criminal mischief. Suspects had damaged a key pad to a coded gate. The case is under investigation.
December 13th: Deputy Mark Smith was called to 270 CR 2315 for a possible overdose involving Raymond Kyle Burden. Burden was on the front porch and was found to be in possession of various pills. Burden was taken to the Wood County Jail of possession of a dangerous drug.
December 12th: Sgt. Michael Woods was dispatched to the lobby of the sheriff¢s department for an assault that took place at the Gateway Apartments. The victim, Tammy Furth, advised that she was assaulted by her boyfriend when she went to his residence to retrieve her personal property and move out. The case is under investigation.
