Wood County Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in a case. When you call 903-763-CASH, your information to Crime Stoppers is confidential and you can remain anonymous.

When you give your information, you will be assigned a special reference number for your call. You can use this number at a later date to claim a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You do NOT need to give your name.

Crime Stoppers may pay a reward up to $1,000 for information on any warrant that leads to an arrest and indictment.

August 10th:

Deputy Josh O'Grady was dispatched to the 200 block of CR 2302 in the Mineola area with regard to a report of debit card abuse. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) were able to obtain her debit card information and had used her debit card. The case is under investigation.

August 9th:

Deputy Nathan Adams made contact with a victim by public service who advised that her license plate had been stolen off her trailer. The case is under investigation.

On the same date, Sgt. Jayson Farmer was dispatched to the 300 block of CR 2171 in the Quitman area with regard to a theft. The victim advised that money had been stolen from her purse. The case is under investigation.

August 7th:

Deputy David Hill was dispatched to the 1000 block of CR 3900 in the Hawkins area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had broken open the front door of the home and stolen a $100 window air conditioning unit. The case is under investigation.

On the same date, Deputy O'Grady was dispatched to the 400 block of PR 5860 in the Yantis area with regard to the theft of a maroon 2007 Mercury four-door vehicle. The case is under investigation.

August 5th:

Deputy O'Grady was dispatched to CR 1689 to the city of Alba life station. Unknown suspect(s) had apparently backed into the building causing the building to shift. The victim advised that the pump inside the building was still functional but the building would have to be replaced. The case is under investigation.

On the same date, Deputy O'Grady was dispatched to the 1500 block of CR 2800 with regard to the burglary of a home in the Mineola ar4ea. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered the residence and removed several hunting items, a Beta video camera, JVC video camera, and several articles of clothing. The total value of all the missing items is over $3,500. The case is under investigation.

During this period, there were 68 males and 13 females at the Wood County Jail for a total of 81. There were 12 releases and 21 bookings.

August 4th:

Deputy Sam Threadgill spoke with a victim by phone who advised that unknown suspect(s) had removed the welding leads from his welder. The welder sits on his welding trailer in the 4300 block of CR 2724 in the Mineola area. The welding leads are valued at $600. The case is under investigation.

August 3rd:

Deputy Samantha Sellers was dispatched to the 4000 block of Hwy 69 north to Kelly's Corner with regard to unknown suspect(s) who had pried open the front door. The case is under investigation.

On the same date, Deputy Donovan South was dispatched to the 300 block of CR 3170 in the Quitman area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered his residence and had torn down the ceiling to gain entry to the attic to remove copper wires. The case is under investigation.

Also on this date, Deputy Williams was dispatched to the 2500 block of Hwy 80 west to the Mineola U-Haul rental location with regard to the theft of fuel from one of the U-Hauls. There are two persons of interest who may be involved in this theft. The case is under investigation.

Also on this date, Deputy Chris Turner was dispatched to 600 block of CR 3269 in the Mineola area with regard to the theft of a grey Street King 110 watt window A/C unit valued at $300. The case is under investigation.

On this same date, Deputy Turner was dispatched to the 3700 block of FM 2869 in the Hawkins area with regard to a burglary of a home. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen his X-Box, a Nintendo DS, a 46-inch Samsung flatscreen LCD television, an 18.6-inch Sanyo HDTV LCD television and a Nintendo Wii game system, all valued at over $1,500. The case is under investigation.

Also on this date, Deputy Williams was dispatched to the Ozarka bottling plants on FM 2869 in the Hawkins area with regard to a theft. The victim advised that several items were taken. These include a 2009 Kawasaki Mule valued at over $10,000, a Dixon 46-inch lawn mower valued at $3,500, a Tanaka weed eater valued at $400, a 1.5 air compressor valued at $200, a 6p Ultrameter valued at $800, a Fluke electric meter valued at $400 and miscellaneous tools valued at $2,600. There is a person of interest. The case is under investigation.

August 2nd:

Deputy David Hitt was dispatched to the 200 block of CR 1587 in the Alba area with regard to the theft of 1,200 feet of copper valued at $6,000. The case is under investigation.

July 31st:

Deputy Nathan Adams was dispatched to the 200 block of Johnson Lane in the Yantis area on a report of criminal mischief. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had cut the antenna wire of her husband's CB radio. The estimated loss is $200. The case is under investigation.

July 30th:

Deputy Williams was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 1689 in the Alba area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had pried open the door of his cabinet shop. On gaming entry, suspect(s) had removed copper wiring, nail guns, Makita drills, a Paslode T-nailer, a portable cable biscuit joiner, a corrugated fastener gun, a Cannon underwater camera and an orange Red Man racing bicycle with skinny tires. The items have a total value of $5,600/ The case is under investigation.

July 29th:

Deputy Chris Turner was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 2169 in the Quitman area with regard to an assault. The victim advised that her ex-husband had assaulted her following an argument about a vehicle. The victim said she had been head butted by the suspect. On investigation, a warrant was issued for assault/family violence for Ryan Odell Morris, a white male, age 31, of Quitman.

On the same date, Deputy Threadgill was advised to contact a victim of a theft in the 7800 block of FM 778 in the Alba area with regard to a theft of 1,200 feet of copper valued at $6,000.

During the period, there were 62 males and 12 females at the Wood County Jail for a total of 74. There were 20 releases and 23 bookings.

July 27th:

At about 11 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of CR 3231 in the Quitman area. When officers arrived, the victim advised that unknown suspect(s) broken into his residence and his 57-inch TV was missing along with other items. He also advised that there were two subjects two houses down that had been acting suspicious. On making contact and upon investigation, Alexa Rae Richmond, a white female, age 24, and Marshall Glenn Kea, a white male, age 41, both of Tyler, were placed under arrest on two counts of burglary of a habitation and one count of burglary of a building. Bond for Richmond was set at $30,000 and bond for Kea was set at $35,000.

July 26th:

Deputy Bradley Armendariz was dispatched to the 490 block of CR 1600 with regard to a violation of the Emergency Management Plan. He arrived and investigated and found that a trash fire had burned the grass and charred the corner of the suspect's neighbor's home. Christopher Ryan Hester was issued a citation for Violation of the Emergency Management Plan.

July 25th:

Deputy Nathan Adams was dispatched to the 600 block of CR 4896 and the 4500 block of FM 515 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a theft of copper. These cases are under investigation.

On the same date, Deputy Threadgill was dispatched to the 3400 block of Hwy 80 east in the Mineola area with regard to a theft of copper. Unknown suspect(s) had stolen 2,700 feet of copper valued at over $13,000. The case is under investigation.

July 24th:

Deputy Jimmie White was dispatched to the 1400 block of CR 4760 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a theft of an A/C compressor. The case is under investigation.

July 23rd:

Deputy Sellers was dispatched to the 800 block of CR 3440, the Pirates Club, in the Hawkins area with regard to subject who was refusing to leave. On arrival and investigation, Robert John Gibson, age 29, was placed under arrest for public intoxication.

On the same date, Deputy Josh O'Grady was dispatched to the 300 block of CR 3253 in the Quitman area with regard to unknown suspect(s) pulling over $11,000 worth of copper out of an unoccupied house. The suspect(s) had entered the residence through the scuttle hole on the front porch. The case is under investigation.

On the same date, Deputy O'Grady was dispatched to the 1400 block of CR 2332 in the Mineola area with regard to a structure fire. The home owner advised that the home was not insured. The case had been forwarded to Fire Marshal Randy Selman for investigation.

Finally, on this date, Deputy O'Grady was dispatched to Hwy 37 north in the Mineola area with regard to a vehicle fire. On arrival, he found a black 1996 Ford Mustang was on fire. The victim advised that when he accelerated, he noticed smoke coming from under the hood. The owner removed the vehicle from the highway. He advised that the vehicle did not have a lien and had only liability insurance.

July 22nd:

Deputy Robbie Ballard initiated a traffic stop on FM 1804 and CR 2782 in the Mineola area after observing a vehicle disregard a stop sign. On investigation, Trenton Carter Smith, 20, of Lindale, was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana.

July 21st:

Deputy J.W. Williams was dispatched to the Hawkins R>V> Park with regard to a report that the pay booth had been broken out. Unknown suspect(s) had broken the window with a brick. The window is valued at $150. The case is under investigation.

During this period there were 61 males and 11 females at the Wood County Jail for a total of 72. There were 29 bookings and 32 releases.
