Wood County Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in a case. When you call 903-763-CASH, your information to Crime Stoppers is confidential and you can remain anonymous.

When you give your information, you will be assigned a special reference number for your call. You can use this number at a later date to claim a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You do NOT need to give your name.

Crime Stoppers may pay a reward up to $1,000 for information on any warrant that leads to an arrest and indictment.

th: Deputy Josh O'Grady was dispatched to the 3700 block of FM 1254 with regard to a theft. The victim advised that an unknown suspect(s) had stolen a Craftsman riding lawn mower along with a box blade and an attachment. The items are valued at $2,000. The case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy O'Grady was dispatched to the 3700 block of Hwy 80 with regard to a theft of copper. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolenfive 300-foot copper lines off of several Wood County electric poles. The case is under investigation.

May 9

th: Deputy James White was dispatched to the 1800 block of CR 4760 with regard to a theft of copper. The victim advised that an unknown suspect(s) had stolen copper wire from an A/C unit. The case is under investigation. May 8

th: Deputy J.W. Williams made a traffic stop on Hwy 37 on a pickup that was traveling at a high rate of speed. On investigation, Cynthia Holley Boyter was placed under arrest for driving with an invalid license, with previous convictions. May 7

th: Deputy Nathan Adams was dispatched to the 300 block of PR 5534 with regard to a report of criminal mischief. The victim advised that the tires on his 2007 white Ford F150 extended cab had been slashed. The tires are valued at $400. The case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to CR 3231 in the Quitman area with regard to the theft of two Honda four-wheelers. They are valued at $6,500. The case is under investigation.

Also on this date, Deputy Chris Turner was dispatched to the 8400 block of FM 779 in the Alba area with regard to a theft. The victim advised that a four-by-four wooden pole, a metal I-beam and a window unit had been stolen. The items are valued at $300. The case is under investigation.

May 5

th: Deputy David Hill was dispatched to the 900 block of CR 3832 in the Hawkins area with regard to a copper theft. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen over 2,100 feet of #6 hard drone copper wire valued at $10,000. The case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to the 4600 block of FM 2869 south in the Hawkins area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that her 32-inch Zenith flat screen TV, a scanner and a Timex watch were stolen. They are valued at over $600. The case is under investigation.

During this period, there were 74 males and six females at the Wood County Jail for a total of 80. There were 38 bookings and 32 releases.

May 4

th: Deputy Josh O'Grady was dispatched to the 2300 block of Hwy 80 west at Wood County Lumber in the Mineola area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had broken into the building and stolen the copper from several breaker boxes. The case is under investigation. May 3

rd: Deputy Nathan Adams was dispatched to the 200 block of PR 7651 at Exxon Mobile in the Hawkins area with regard to an assault. The victim advised that he had been hit in the face by an employee. The case is under investigation. May 2

nd: Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to 1200 block of CR 1840 in the Yantis area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had opened the unlocked door of his storage building and removed his grey Hewlett-Packard Compaq laptop computer from the saddle bag on his motorcycle. The computer is valued at $340. The case is under investigation. May 1

st: Deputy David Hitt was dispatched to the 300 block of CR 1410 in the Quitman with regard to a report of criminal trespass. The victim advised that his son keeps coming onto his property and taking things without his permission. Jimmy Montrell Evans of Mount Pleasant was issued a criminal trespass warning. April 30

th: Deputy David Hitt was dispatched to Hwy 154 east to a new construction site with regard to the theft of fifty 1-foot by 3-foot steel bolts that are used to secure concrete on bridges. The bolts are valued at $1,000. The case is under investigation. April 29

th: Deputy Jimmy White was dispatched to the 4500 block of CR 3990 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a subject blocking a driveway. On investigation, Seth Dakota Poteet was placed under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia and was also issued a criminal trespass warning to stay away from the victim's residence. During the period there were 69 males and 5 females at the Wood County Jail for a total of 74. There were 36 bookings and 36 releases.
