Wood County Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in a case. When you call 903-763-CASH, your information to Crime Stoppers is confidential and you can remain anonymous.

When you give your information, you will be assigned a special reference number for your call. You can use this number at a later date to claim a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You do NOT need to give your name.

Crime Stoppers may pay a reward up to $1,000 for information on any warrant that leads to an arrest and indictment.

March 29

th: Deputy Josh O'Grady was dispatched to the 1800 block of CR 2700 in the Mineola area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen about $700 worth of power tools from his locked residence. The case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy Guy Powell was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 3689 in the Hawkins area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered his unlocked door. A Hewlett Packard mini laptop and about $20,000 in jewelry were stolen. The case is under investigation.

March 28

th: Deputy Powell was dispatched to the 1300 block of CR 3235 in the Quitman area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered his home and stolen a built-in dishwasher, an electric stove top and several rooms of carpet. The case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy O'Grady was dispatched to the 1500 block of CR 2330 in the Mineola area with regard to a theft of copper. The victim advised that the suspect(s) had stolen 600 feet of copper valued at $3,000. The case is under investigation.

March 27

th: Deputy Chris Turner was on routine patrol at Lake Holbrook when he made contact with a subject who was sitting at the point. On checking the subject's driver's license, it was found that the subject was wanted out of Upshur County on a deadly conduct warrant. Justin Dewayne Garrison, white male, 22, was placed under arrest for possession of marijuana (on site) and deadly conduct. On the same date, Deputy Sam Threadgill was on routine patrol on Hwy 154 in the Yantis area when he conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle because the brake lights were not working. On investigation, the passenger, Kimberly Dawn Nalls, white female, 31, of Sulphur Springs, was placed under arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 26

th: Deputy Threadgill was dispatched to the 2900 block of Hwy 154 west at Oak Ridge Marina in the Quitman area with regard to a burglary of a coin-operated machine. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had damaged the Coke machine and had taken about $175 in currency and paper bills from the machine. The cost of the machine is about $1,500. The case is under investigation. March 25

th: Deputy Chris Turner was dispatched to the 4100 block of FM 2659 in the Hawkins area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had forced entry into her home through a window. The victim advised that a Sony 27-inch flat screen television, a Sony play station 3, a Toshiba laptop computer, a 12-gauge Mossberg Maverick 88 pump shotgun and $340 in cash. The case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy J.W. Williams located a stolen white 1996 Honda Accord four-door while at the 5700 block of Hwy 37 south in the Mineola area while serving a warrant. The vehicle had been reported stolen out of Dallas. The vehicle was towed and held for the auto theft task force.

March 24

th: Deputy Rusty Owens met with a victim of theft in the lobby of the sheriff's department. The victim advised that she gave Exterior Home Designs a check for $5,770 in May of 2010 for a metal roof. She has not received a metal roof or a refund. The case is under investigation. During the period there were 66 males and 7 females at the Wood County Jail. There were 28 bookings and 29 releases.

March 23

rd: Lt. John Farmer was dispatched to the ETMC Quitman emergency room where a subject was being abusive to the staff, disturbing the peace and attempting to kick a nurse. Jimmy Dale Coleman was arrested for disorderly conduct. March 21

st: Lt. Farmer was dispatched to the 3600 block of FM 2225 in the Quitman area with regard to subject that pointed a gun at his grandmother. On investigation, Whitney Daine Mann was placed under arrest for deadly conduct. March 20

th: Deputy Zachary Soto was dispatched to the 600 block of CR 3811 in the Hawkins area with regard to a dispute. On investigation, Amanda Allen and Haley Jones were issued citations for disorderly conduct (language). Janice Fuller was arrested on a Gregg County theft of service warrant). On the same date, Deputy David Hill was dispatched to the 3800 block of CR 3250 in the Quitman area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that the suspect kicked in the door of the residence and had stolen a 357 Smith & Wesson 100 year commemorative Dallas Police Department firearm and a 38 caliber Taurus blue steel snub nose firearm. The case is under investigation. Nathanial Thorne Williams was issued a criminal trespass warning.

March 19

th: Sgt. Aaron Warren was dispatched to Big Wood Springs in the Winnsboro area with regard to graffiti on a small bridge on PR 8692. The case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy O'Grady was dispatched to the 1100 block of CR 2231 in the Mineola area with regard to a theft of copper. The victim advised that unknown suspects had stolen nine 45-foot sections of copper wiring valued at $1,200. The case is under investigation.

March 17

th: Deputy Williams was dispatched to the 200 block of CR 2174 with regard to someone who was yelling and cussing his neighbor. On arrival, Michael Sebring was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct. March 16

th: Deputy Nathan Adams was dispatched to the 1300 block of FM 2869 north in the Winnsboro area with regard to the theft of a Gateway computer valued at $700. The case is under investigation. March 15

th: Deputy Robbie Ballard was dispatched to the 800 block of CR 1912 in the Yantis area with regard to the theft of a black 12-foot utility trailer with a fold down ramp, an expanded metal floor and a tailgate, valued at $750. The case is under investigation. On the same date, Deputy Owens was dispatched to the 300 block of CR 1699 in the Alba area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had pried the front door of his lake house. The victim advised that a 22 caliber H & R model 923 nickel-plated pistol, an antique cooler, a Craftsman cordless drill had been taken. The items are valued at $435. The case is under investigation.
