Wood County Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information that leads to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in a case. When you call 903-763-CASH, your information to Crime Stoppers is confidential and you can remain anonymous.
When you give your information, you will be assigned a special reference number for your call. You can use this number at a later date to claim a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You do NOT need to give your name.
Crime Stoppers may pay a reward up to $1,000 for information on any warrant that leads to an arrest and indictment.

May 26th: Sgt. Lee Wilkins was dispatched to the 400 block of CR 4640 with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) kicked in the door of his house and stole a Honda generator, weed eaters and a power washer. The case is under investigation.
May 25th: Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to the 2400 block of CR 2260 in the Mineola area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown (suspect(s) had broken a window and entered his weekend home. He said a .22 caliber semi-automatic rifle was stolen along with two television sets, hand tools and kitchen dishes.
May 24th: Deputy Chris Bettis was dispatched to the 200 block of CR 1810 in the Yantis area with regard to the theft of a blue Yamaha four-wheeler. The case is under investigation.
May 23rd: Deputy James White was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 1460 in the Quitman area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen his central heating and air conditioner unit from the rear of his residence. The suspect(s) also pried the garage door open and removed two chest type tool boxes full of tolls. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy David Hill was dispatched to the 110 block of FM 17 North in the Alba area with regard to a report of criminal mischief. The victim advised that her white 2005 Nissan Altima was egged by unknown suspect(s). The case is under investigation.
May 22nd: Deputy David Hill was dispatched to the 2100 block of CR 4760 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had pried open the back door to her residence and a storage building. The suspect(s) removed several pairs of hair cutting scissors, a green Skil saw, antique irons with bases and an oil antique iron. The case is under investigation.
May 21st: Sgt. Jayson Farmer was dispatched to the 1800 block of CR 4420 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a burglary of a motor vehicle. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered her unlocked blue 2000 Nissan SUV and removed a grey lock box. The victim advised that the lock box contained $2,000 in cash, personal checks and several credit cards. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Hill was dispatched to the 2700 block of Highway 11 East in the Winnsboro area with regard to the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The victim advised that her red1990 Geo Tracker had been stolen from her weekend cabin. The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy Chris Bettis was on routine patrol when he was advised that a green Nissan pickup with an intoxicated driver was traveling down Hwy 17 toward the Quitman area. The vehicle was stopped and contact was made with the driver who had the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person. Aaron Michael Thomas was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated.
May 20th: Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to the 700 block of CR 2689 in the Hawkins area with regard to a report of criminal trespassing. The victim advised that she and her husband have been separated for six months. He showed up on this date and she asked him to leave her residence several times. He would not leave. David Freeman Sullivan was issued a criminal trespass warning.
On the same date, Deputy Nathan Adams was dispatched to the 300 block of CR 2425 in the Mineola area with regard to a criminal mischief report. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had thrown an object at his double-paned window, breaking the window. The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy Guy Powell was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 2279 in the Mineola area with regard to a structure fire. The victim's daughter was using the computer and heard a popping sound. She saw fire inside the home and woke everyone in the house. They all got out. The home was a complete loss along with a storage building at the back plus a Craftsman riding lawn mower. The home was insured. Fire Marshal Randy Selman was notified.

May 19th: Sgt. Farmer was dispatched to the 1000 block of CR 4430 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a criminal trespass report. The victim advised that he did not want the suspect back on his property. Martha Loretta McCleskey was issued a criminal trespass warning for the victim's property.
May 18th: Deputy Robbie Ballard was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 1710 in the Yantis area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered her residence through a window. She advised that several pieces of jewelry were stolen. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to the 2700 block of Hwy 80 west in the Mineola area with regard to the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The victim advised that an unknown suspect had stolen his 1995 green Dodge Ram 1500 pickup. The case is under investigation.
May 17th: Deputy Robbie Ballard was dispatched to the 1900 block of FM 2869 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered his locked residence and stolen a Winchester 30-30 rifle, two sets of silverware, two empty fireproof safes, some horse tackle and a set of wooden dehorners. The case is under investigation
On the same date, Deputy J>W> Williams was dispatched to the 3200 block of Hwy 80 East with regard to the theft of 12 Black Angus cows. The case has been turned over to the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.
May 16th: Deputy Aaron Warren was dispatched to the 700 block of CR 3250 in the Quitman area with regard to a report of family violence. The victim advised that she was assaulted by her father. Raymond Lee Alaniz was arrested for assault causing bodily injury.
On the same date, Deputy Sellers was dispatched to the 100 block of PR 5675 in the Alba area with regard to the burglary of a motor vehicle. The victim advised that he ran out of gas in his 1991 S-10 Chevy pickup and unknown suspect(s) broke into his locked truck and stolen a JVC tuner AM/FM, a Thumper 225/225 amp Everstart battery, a four ton orange floor jack and a 12-foot chain with a hook. The items stolen are valued at $740. The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy Williams was dispatched to the 600 block of FM 1254 in the Mineola area with regard to a burglary. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered her residence by kicking the front door open. The home was completely ransacked and an unknown brand laptop computer and cash was stolen. The case is under investigation.
May 15th: Deputy Samantha Sellers was dispatched to the 1200 block of CR 1500 in the Alba area with regard to a family violence report. The complainant advised that his mother and her boyfriend were fighting and the boyfriend attempted to stuff a towel in the mother's mouth. The suspect threw the victim on the couch. Michael Raydon Carter was placed under arrest for assault causing bodily injury/family violence.
On the same date, Deputy Sellers was dispatched to CR 2230 and Hwy 80 West in the Mineola area with regard a criminal mischief report. On making a traffic stop and making contact with the driver of the vehicle, the driver was observed to have slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. A .380 pistol was found in the glove box of the vehicle. Marilyn Cano was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon. Bond was set at $3,600.
Also on this date, Deputy Threadgill met with a victim in the lobby of the sheriff's office with regard to the burglary of a motor vehicle. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered his unlocked vehicle and stolen a pre-paid cellular phone, plus $75 in cash and approximately 30 CDs. The case is under investigation.
May 14th: Deputy Hill was dispatched to the 700 block of CR 1903 in Quitman with regard to a theft of copper. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen 600 feet of ground copper cable from a power line. The copper is valued at $3,000. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Chris was dispatched to the 700 block of CR 4586 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a theft. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen a Samsung S630 red digital camera from her residence. The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy Jayson Farmer was dispatched to the 100 block of Arapaho in the Quitman area with regard to a theft. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen his 14-foot single axle black homemade trailer. The trailer was loaded with plywood and 2x2s that were under a grey tarp on the trailer. The trailer and lumber are valued at $550. The case is under investigation.
May 13th: Deputy Robbie Ballard was dispatched to the 600 block of CR 4300 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a criminal mischief report. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) damaged his mailbox valued at $100. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to the 6500 block of Hwy 154 East in the Winnsboro area. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered her home and removed her purse from her kitchen table. The case is under investigation.
Also on this date, Deputy Zachary Soto was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 2230 in the Mineola area with regard to a disturbance in progress. On arrival and making contact with the victim, the deputy ascertained that a male subject had come into the residence yelling and cussing. On investigation, Jason Scott France was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.
