Wood County Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information which leads to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in a case. When you call 903-763-CASH, your information to Crime Stoppers is confidential and you can remain anonymous. When you give information, you will be assigned a special reference number for your call. You can use this number at a later date to claim a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You need NOT give your name.
Crime Stoppers may pay a reward up to $1,000 for information on any warrant that leads to an arrest and indictment.

April 13th: Lt. John Farmer met with a complainant in the sheriff's department lobby with regard to a theft in the 300 block of CR 2266 in the Mineola area. The complainant advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen a concrete bird bath with a little ferry in the center valued at $200. The case is under investigation.
April 11th: Deputy David Hill was dispatched to the 200 block of CR 4691 in the Quitman area with regard to a report of disorderly conduct. The complainant advised that a subject at his residence was intoxicated. He also advised that the subject was threatening to assault him. On investigation, Charles Wayne Spence was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct.
On the same date, Sgt. Jayson Farmer was dispatched to the 300 block of CR 4250 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a stalking incident. The complainant advised that a subject that had assaulted his father in the past had been driving by his residence. He is afraid that the subject would try to assault his father again. The case is under investigation.
April 10th: Deputy Hill was dispatched to CR 4960 and CR 4897 in the Winnsboro area, and CR 1460 in the Quitman area where several mailboxes were damaged with an unknown object by an unknown suspect(s). These cases are under investigation.
April 8th: Deputy Hill was dispatched to the 1200 block of FM 852 west in the Winnsboro area with regard to the burglary of a building. The complainant advised that his barn was not locked. The case is under investigation.
April 7th: Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to the 300 block of CR 3289 in the Quitman area with regard to a theft. The complainant advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen his red homemade eight-foot trailer valued at $700, and a Craftsman one-horsepower welding machine valued at $2,300 plus a Craftsman one-horsepower red and black window unit valued at $300. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to the 200 block of FM 69 in the Quitman area with regard to a disturbance. The complainant advised that Charles Clifton Newman was on her property without her permission. Newman was issued a criminal trespass warning.
Also on this date, Deputy Threadgill was dispatched to the 1300 block of CR 2377 in the Alba area with regard to a dog bite. The complainant advised that a dog that lives across the road had bit her grandson on the thigh. The owner advised that the dog is quarantined and that he would be getting rid of the dog after the ten-day quarantine.
Finally, on this date, Deputy James White was dispatched to the 4300 block of FM 515 west in the Quitman area where a complainant advised that unknown suspect(s) had struck her mailboxes with an unknown object. The mailboxes were valued at $25. The case is under investigation.

April 6th: Deputy Arthur Judge was dispatched to the 400 block of PR 8556 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a theft. The complainant advised that unknown suspect(s) had stolen a Honda pressure washer and a Hot Wheels team-roping dummy. The case is under investigation.
April 5th: Deputy Samantha Sellers was dispatched to the 2300 block of FM 1799 in the Mineola area with regard to an assault. The complainant advised that her son had assaulted her. The victim also attempted to call for help. She said her son grabbed the phone from her and injured her. Christopher Curtis Freeman was arrested for assault/family violence and interferences with an emergency call.
April 4th: Deputy Hill was dispatched to the 3100 block of CR 4930 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a report of criminal mischief. The complainant advised that unknown suspects had damaged her mailbox. The mailbox is valued at $50. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Aaron Warren was dispatched to the 2600 block of CR 4990 in the Quitman area with regard to a criminal mischief report. The complainant reported that unknown suspect(s) had struck his mailbox with an unknown object. The mailbox is valued at $30.
April 3rd: Deputy David Hill was dispatched to the 1000 block of CR 4116 in the Quitman area with regard to a criminal mischief report. The complainant advised that unknown suspect(s) had damaged his door frame and the deadlock bolt. The case is under investigation.
April 2nd: Deputy J.W. Williams was dispatched to the 500 block of CR 2651 with regard to a criminal mischief report. The complainant advised that unknown suspect(s) had gone into a ditch and knocked down two of her fence posts. The posts are valued at $50. The case is under investigation.
March 31st: Deputy James White was dispatched to the 400 block of CR 1895 in the Yantis area with regard to a theft of fishing equipment. The case is under investigation.
March 30th: Deputy Rusty Owens was dispatched to the 2300 block of FM 1799 in the Mineola area with regard to a dispute. On speaking to the complainant, she advised that her son had threatened her and her husband continually. Christopher Freeman was placed under arrest for assault by threat.
