Wood County Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards for information which leads to the arrest of a fugitive wanted in a case. When you call 903-763-CASH, your information to Crime Stoppers is confidential and you can remain anonymous. When you give information, you will be assigned a special reference number for your call. You can use this number at a later date to claim a reward if your information leads to an arrest. You need NOT give your name.
Crime Stoppers may pay a reward up to $1,000 for information on any warrant that leads to an arrest and indictment.

February 16th: Deputy J.W.Williams was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 4400 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a report of a large amount of money being stolen. The victim advised that a man and his girlfriend came to do some work for him because they were low on money. The victim allowed the man to do some yard work and the woman to do some housework. The victim said the man and woman were supposed to spend the night and when he awoke in the morning, the two were missing along with $11,000 and the keys to various vehicles. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Zachary Soto was dispatched to the 700 block of CR 4640 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a theft. The victim advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered his unlocked garage and removed two master air blowers valued at $600. The case is under investigation.
February 15th: Deputy Sam Threadgill was dispatched to the 5600 block of CR 3449 in the Hawkins area with regard to the theft of two to five hundred feet of copper wiring. The case is under investigation.
February 14th: Deputy Williams spoke to a complainant by phone with regard to a missing college ring that was mailed to her mailbox. The mailbox was located at the 3200 block of FM 2869 south in Hawkins. The complainant advised that her son mailed the ring to her and when she checked her mail, the envelope the ring was mailed in was in her mailbox but the ring was not. The package was sent certified mail. The post office and the postal inspector were contacted by the complainant.
February 13th: Deputy James White was dispatched to take a theft report from a victim at the Winnsboro Police Department. The complainant advised that unknown suspect(s) had entered his locked residence and removed three bottles of prescription medications. The case is under investigation.
February 12th: Deputy Aaron Warren was dispatched to the 1100 block of CR 2210 in the Mineola area with regard to an assault. The complainant advised that she allowed her ex-husband to stay at her home because he did not have any propane. She advised that she and her children were almost asleep when her ex-husband yanked her out of the bed causing her to strike the bedside table. The suspect fled the scene. The case is under investigation.
February 11th: Deputy Rusty Owens met with a complainant in the lobby of the sheriff's office with regard to a theft. The complainant advised that unknown suspect(s) had taken several vehicle parts and motors from his storage building. This theft took place at the 300 block of CR 4988 in Winnsboro. The case is under investigation.
On the same date, Deputy Owens again met with a compliant in the lobby of the sheriff's department with regard to a stolen 48-foot drop deck tractor trailer with a three-foot extension. The complainant advised that the trailer was rented by a subject and had not been returned. The trailer is valued at $17,000. The trailer was taken from the 8400 block of FM 69 in Como. The case is under investigation.

February 9th: Deputy Zachary Soto was dispatched to FM 2869 in the Hawkins area with regard to a suspicious person. On making contact with the subject, an odor of alcohol was detected from his person. Donald Gene Middleton was arrested for public intoxication.
February 8th: Sgt. Lee Wilkins was dispatched to the 4800 block of FM 14 south in the Hawkins area with regard to a criminal trespass. The complainant advised that his former tenant had not changed his address and he did not want him to come to his residence anymore to pick up his mail. Donald Gage was issued a criminal trespass warning.
On the same date, Deputy Matt Gann was dispatched to the 4300 block of FM 17 in the Alba area with regard to an assault. The complainant advised that she was assaulted by her boyfriend. On investigation, Glen Wayne Hogue was arrested for assault/family violence.
February 6th: Deputy David Hill was dispatched to the 200 block of Harris Lane in the Yantis area with regard to an assault in progress. The complainant advised that he was hit and thrown to the ground by the suspect. The complainant advised that the suspect believed that he had slashed his tires and that was why the suspect has assaulted him. The suspect had left the scene before the deputy's arrival. On making contact, L.J. Sells Jr. was issued a citation for assault by contact.
February 4th: Deputy Hill was dispatched to the 100 block of CR 4494 in the Winnsboro area with regard to a report of criminal trespass. The complainant advised that the suspect had done some work for her and had been calling her and harassing her about his pay. Johnnie T. Estes was issued a criminal trespass warning.
February 3rd: Deputy Samantha Sellers was dispatched to the 2300 block of Hwy 69 in the Alba area with regard to a criminal mischief report. The complainant that he thought that the back window of his 1995 Jeep Cherokee was iced over until he took a closer look and discovered the window was shattered. The case is under investigation.
